Finding Books in the JSCC Library

 Books are still valuable resources when looking for information about law enforcement.


  • JSCC Library Online Catalog
    You have access to over 57,000 books in print and 190,000 electronic books by using the JSCC online catalog.

    You can search by author, title, keyword, and subject.

Finding Magazine and Journal articles dealing with Corrections

You can find a lot of magazine and journal articles in the JSCC Library by using the following electronic databases:

You may want to find national and local newspaper articles dealing with law enforcement.

Google Books

  • Google Books
    Google Books allows you to search books that are not in the JSCC Library. You usually can't look at the whole book, but you will have access, in many cases, to excerpts from the book.

    You can request something that you find on Google Books through Interlibrary Loan.
