Finding books in the JSCC Library

JSCC Library Online Catalog
You will be able to find printed and electronic books through the online catalog. You can read the electronic books right on your computer.

To access the electronic books, you will be asked for your username and password (the ones you use to access computers on campus or your online class)

Getting Help in Finding Information

To get help in finding information, contact the JSCC Library:

Go to your library discussion board in your online class or
Call the JSCC Library at 1-800-355-5722, extension 572 or
Use the online "Ask A Question" form

Finding Books through Google

If the library doesn't have a book you need, you can find a reference to a book using Google books. Sometimes part of the book is given to you.

If you need a book that the Jackson State Community College Library doesn't own, please contact Vanessa Jones at 731-424-3520 ext. 50325 or by email at vjones13@jscc.edu

Provide her with the author, title, date of publication and publisher. The Library will then ask another library to loan us the book. We use the Online College Library Center to connect us to most academic libraries in the country.

It takes about 2 weeks for a book to be sent here from another library.
