Integrating Library Resources into eLearn

This guide is designed to assist faculty in integrating Library resources into eLearn.

Linking Streaming Media

To link to Alexander Street videos (Academic Video Online, American History in Video, Black Studies in Video, World History in Video):

  1. Choose your video in Academic Video Online
  2. Click Share
  3. Click Copy Permalink
  4. Insert into your content on eLearn: New > Create a Link > Enter title and URL > Keep Open as External Resource checked

To link to ICE Video Library videos:

  1. Choose your video in ICE Video Library
  2. Open the video you want to link
  3. Copy the entire URL for the video
  4. Insert into your content on eLearn: New > Create a Link > Enter title and URL > Keep Open as External Resource checked
  5. Add EZProxy to the front of the URL before saving

To link to Kanopy videos:

  1. Create an account or log into your Kanopy account (REQUIRED)
  2. Choose your video in Kanopy
  3. Click Share
  4. Copy link under Share link
  5. Insert into your content on eLearn: New > Create a Link > Enter title and URL > Keep Open as External Resource checked

Note: Students have to create a separate account with Kanopy to watch movies, even though they might have to authenticate with EZProxy.

To link to Literary Streaming Media videos:

  1. Choose your video in Literary Streaming Media
  2. Click Share
  3. Click on Embed/Link
  4. Copy the Record URL
  5. Insert into your content on eLearn: New > Create a Link > Enter title and URL > Keep Open as External Resource checked

To link to Swank Digital Campus videos:

  1. Choose your video in Swank Digital Campus
  2. Click Share
  3. Click Copy Direct Link
  4. Insert into your content on eLearn: New > Create a Link > Enter title and URL > Keep Open as External Resource checked
  5. Add EZProxy to the front of the URL before saving
